In a net ionic equation, does H(C2H3O2) break up into H+ and (C2H3O2)-?

► No; they do not break up necessarily. Keep in mind that the acetate already has 2 Hydrogen atoms, so since this is an acid, the same rule does not apply because there is another Hydrogen atom in the compound.
