Do you personally think it's better to start a family in the suburbs, country, or city?

By raising a family, I mean having children, while maintaining a job, social life, social life for your kids, and a nice home. I personally think suburbs is the best (a suburb with good schools and friendly neighborhoods), but I would like to know the reasoning for the city or countryside.
