Yep, mostly just entertaining. A lot of it is also about getting an ego boost. He is addicted to the boost he gets from flirting with other girls and thinking what he might be able to have if he wanted it. Not that he wants it or would cheat, it is just about that kind of what if situation that makes him feel that ego boost.
