Anyone have experience with Placenta Previa?

My doctor told me yesterday that my ultrasound from April 11 showed I had a marginal Placenta Previa. He said sometimes they correct themselves, otherwise I would have to have a C-Section. I am scared to death of C-Sections. I read up on Webmd.com about Placenta Previa and all it did was scare me more because of the likliehood of bleeding, C-Section, misscarriage, hysterectomy, etc. Please let me know your experience and please do not respond if you have not experienced it personally or know of someone who did.
