Do you think this new public fear of Islam is the new Red Scare?

I think it is. I think this whole public outcry of Islamic fundamentalists is like the new Red Scare. I think mow that the Cold War is over, the media has propagated a new fear and that would be Islam. I think they have done a fine job demonizing Islam after 9/11. They've done it the Machiavellian way of feeding off people's fears and ignorance and trying to make people fear they're going to take over the world. It's like the way they manipulated people's thinking during the Cold War. I think that's why people are afraid of Barack Obama being President. People still think he's Muslim and linked to Al-Qaida or Louis Farrakhan because the media is feeding of their fears. And now people are terrified of the possibility of nuclear proliferation in Iran. Let us not forget that Iran was a democracy at one time. We were the ones who overthrew Mossadegh and put the Shah in power. And then we started shitting bricks when the Ayatollah overthrew the Shah. So I'm asking this. Is it fair to say that the fear of Islamic fundamentalists is like the new Red Scare?
