Why should there have to be someone that has to suffer for the greater good? my question is why ?

For example the devil he is in eternal darkness. Why? Everyone is a sinner but also anyone can be forgiven. Why can we not all just bask in the light? Why must someones joy or light be sacrificed? I feel we are all created equal each individual is meant for greatness. Can we not all just live love and be happy. Good plus more good can only equal good, i feel. I feel terribly for those in darkness and can not even fathom the light. Why is it impossible for all of us to love, all of us? My theory is that the familiar quote" you are only as strong as your weakest link. All who can't seem to help themselves feel the world is out to get them and do horrible things in part because horrible things were bestowed on them. Could we not change the course of life as we know it if we all could come to the possibility that we are no one to judge. The hardest thing to forgive one's self. Or anyone else for that matter. In the course of this journey i've been on most simply the hardest thing. Is to forgive. Yet it is seen as weak. Yet i feel it may be the most original of concepts. For anger and hatred is not unique. I want to point out an angry mob, one of the most clic of humans coming together for a cause. Especially depicted in television & movies. But to come together to help out another fellow man in a time of harship or trial is rare. An extreme cirsis then some come to aid. But still not most. Why. Biasically why does one not want to help out for the greater good? We are all connected inevitably we would be helping ourselves and those we love.
